AUE (Amt für Umwelt und Energie) Economics Report

In cooperation with the local Office for Environment and Energy (AUE) of the city of St. Gallen, the ior/cf-HSG developed a model for analyzing the financial effects of alternative energy strategies in the areas of electricity, heat, and mobility. Our implementations extended a tool, AUE had at disposal for modeling energy flows over the relevant sectors of the economy for the decades up to 2050. The results illustrate the implied costs and income stream for political decision makers.
