Energy Transition Preparedness Index

The novel and comprehensive “Energy Transition Preparedness Index quantifies business actors’ reactions to the large-scale energy transition. This yields crucial findings to understand how to redesign energy governance to allow for business model reconfiguration among incumbents and how to stimulate business model innovation from start-ups and new entrants under new energy systems. The findings are not only catering to business interests, as understanding business actors in relation to the energy transition is important for the entire national economy (hence for the public sector) in the long run. What is more, the results also imply that, so far, we have measured progress of our energy transitions in a superficial and extremely limited way.
