SIG - swissesco

swissesco develops the foundations and standards for the application of energy performance contracting (EPC) in Switzerland. Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) is a business model which allows funding energy efficiency measures on the basis on the avoided energy cost. It brings together project developers, real estate owners, real estate managers, consultancy firms, engineers, ESCOs (energy service companies), investors as well as cantons, municipalities and cities. swissesco is an association, which was founded by SIG, Simens and several other partners. The academic partners include some CREST members, i.e. UNIGE, UNINE and ZHAW. The academic members of swissesco aim to study the EPC in the Swiss context and to make relevant information from elsewhere publicly available.
