Energy Data Center

The Energy Data Center will form a core component of WP2 on individual and household behavior. It will provide a yearly collection and analysis of household energy data, facilitating empirical projects aiming at the quantitative identification of determinants of energy use as well as projects that analyze policies regarding their effectiveness. In addition, a database for comparative legal studies on energy topics will be built up. Data from the technology-oriented SCCERs on costs and impacts of new technologies will also be collected and processed for use in this SCCER (e.g., in simulation studies). In the future, the data collection will be extended to firm-level surveys and regional data. The Energy Data Center will be organized by UniNe with support from UniLu (database for legal studies) and ETHZ. It will cooperate with Energieforschung Stadt Zürich and take existing data sets (SFOE, BfS) into account.
